[Hearts & Hooves Day was always one of the smaller festivities on the Equestrian calendar, usually reserved for couples to get some alone time or for some casual spreading of platonic love. (Although there were always plenty of heart-themed treats at Sugarcube Corner, especially baked and taste tested by Ponyville's pinkest and primest party pony.) But every day is special to Pinkie Pie, holiday or not and no matter how small. But even she doesn't quite know how special today's Hearts & Hooves Day is going to be.]
[Indeed, it was a Hearts and Hooves that would bring her one Cheese Sandwich from his travels. He likes to come to Ponyville, finding some excuse or other to be there when he wasn't heading to or running a party. It wasn't quite home, but it was the closest thing he had to one.
He headed right for Sugarcube corner, a big grin on his face as he entered the sweet-smelling building. ]
[Meanwhile, Pinkie's ducked behind the counter to arrange a display but pops up at the sound of the bell on the door.]
Welcome to Sugarcube-- Eeeee!!! [And the next second she's somehow teleported over the counter to glomp the fellow party pony.] Cheese Sandwich, it's you~!
Hahaha you've got me there! [She pulls back just enough to look at him.] How've you been? Are you just stopping by, or [GASP!] are you doing something for Hearts & Hooves Day HERE?!
"How's it going up here-- oh, hello, deary! You're Cheese Sandwich, right?"]
That's right, Mrs. Cake! [She pulls Cheese back into a side hug.] AND he's my special somepony this year too!
["Really now?! Well, in that case, you two go on ahead! Business is slowing down a bit, so I'm sure the mister and I can handle it from here on out!]
(GAAASP!) Really, Mrs. Cake?!
[MR. Cake, who was poking his head in as well, is more than a little shocked at the proposal himself, because a. big baking holiday, and b. that's their not!daughter she's talking about going on a DATE! With a STALLION!
"What?! But-- but honey bun!"
"I insist, now you two go and enjoy your Hearts & Hooves Day!"]
WHOOHOO! Come on, Cheesy, let's BLOW this cake stand!
