Hahaha, no KIDDING! I'm pretty sure that's the best party ANYPONY'S ever thrown EVER! [She even adds a little bounce to that last word.]

I know, right? They'll be talking about this one for moons.

[He was still getting used to it, really, using the old Equestrian vernacular. He's been a long time from home, it's taken some...adjusting to be back in a world full of him, instead of just...well, two of them.

Before...before, this is when he'd start to move on. Head off down the road. Go follow whatever his Cheesy Sense told him to. Another party. Another town. He still knows, deep down, he'll have to listen to that call eventually. Destiny, and all that.

But to have an actual home to come back to, somewhere to be his centerpoint. That was a new idea. Ponyville could be it, but what was really his idea home was Pinkie. Just her. ]

So...I was thinking.

MOONS and moons!

[It was definitely a nice change of pace, not having to say goodbye to him right after a party. And being able to enjoy the quiet just walking side-by-side and lightly leaning against him.]

[He can do this. He CAN. He's faced so many crazy things, over the years, this should be easy. He takes in a deep breath. ]

About being here. Us. How we were lucky to remember everything.

Yeah... Yeah, we really are... [She leans against him even more.] I'll ALWAYS be thankful for that, Cheesy.

[Okay. Doing the thing. He clears his throat. ]

And I was thinking. How Ponyville can be...well,, like a home for me. To come back to. You know...when I'm not travelling.

[That certainly gets her to bright up with a GASP, and she glomps him tightly.]

Oh Cheesy, that'd be FANTASTIC! I could see you all the time when you're not traveling! We can help you find a place to stay tomorrow, it can be a room-and-or-house hunting party!

[He laughs softly, returning the hug, breathing in the scent of her mane, Sweet and flour- the smell of a bakery. ]

Y-yeah, that's....well that's the plan.

[Don't bottle this, you can do the thing. ]

I- okay. I'm just gonna-

[Don't bottle this. ]

I was wondering- m-maybe if we had a different kind of party. Well...if you say yes, anyway.

A different kind of party? What kind of different? You can tell me.

[You okay, Cheese? She can tell you're a little nervous.]

[He laughs (nervously) before clearing his throat. Okay. Just say it. ]

So...um. Maybe an engagement party?

I....err yeah. Because that's what I'm doing. Right now. Asking if you want to be engage- UH I mean, if you want to marry me. Yeah. That.

An-- an enga-- [GAAAASP!] You're PROPOSING?! To ME?!

[Yup, mind's a teensy bit blown, but in a good way.]

Yep....that's it. That's the thing I'm doing. Proposing.

[Wow. So romantic. He takes another deep breath, to try and slavage this, make it a little bit more like he planned it in his head.]

I mean...um. Because I love you and...I well, look. I know I can't be here all the time. I know my Cheesy sense could drag me off somewhere else...but. Well. I like the idea of a home to come back to, and in all honesty that's you. You're my home.

...Hence the proposing.

Oh, Cheesy...!

[Yup, she might be crying a bit, but those are unmistakably happy tears.]

Of course I'll marry you! I'd LOVE to marry you!

[The tears worry him for a split second, until he realises they're the GOOD kind of tears. ]

Oh wow, you would?

[Yeah he did not think past this point at all. And nopony was surprised. ]

I would. Oh, Cheesy you have no idea how happy I am right now!

[Because honestly a bit afraid of asking herself; it wouldn't be right to try and tie him down when he loves traveling and missed out on it for SO long. So him proposing to her... it's one of the most meaningful gifts she's ever had.

So she's hugging him tight again, eyes still overflowing but beaming like crazy as she cups his cheek with a hoof and just looks at him.]

I love you so much!

I can guess, if it's anywhere near as happy as I am.

[She said yes!! She actually said yes!!!! He smiles happily, leaning int to nuzzle her softly. ]

I love you, too. More than anything in all the universes.

[Well it's kind of hard to say no to an amazing friend, colleague, and first love you've spent the last however long taking on a whole galaxy and a morally ambiguous production crew with.

She looks in his eyes for a second longer before leaning in to kiss him.]

[Truer words were never spoken.

He returns the kiss happily, heart and soul. He was telling the truth, when he told her that she was his home. She was always the one he'd return to, no matter what. ]

[And it feels wonderful, being his home. Having him go through so much and still trusting her as a confidante and an anchor, not trying to carry all those burdens alone, and sharing hers too.

It's a long time before she breaks the kiss, but she ends it by pulling him into a tight hug.]

My Cheesy...

[He laughs softly, returning that hug. ]

Yep. All yours. Swear on Camembert.

Mmmm and I'm all yours too. Swear of ALL the cheeses.

[That gets a happy chuckle from him. Amused. ]

That's a lot of cheeses.

Oho, don't I know it. Somepony really special taught me that. [Nuzzle nuzzle.] But this is a big promise too, gotta cover all the bases, right?

[His smile softens a little. ]

Oh yeah, better to make sure no stone is left unturned.

Ooh, you're right, gotta make sure to swear by all the stones too! After all, you're gonna be a piece of the Pie Family! [Wink! Ah, that's right, they should probably break the news to all the in-laws soon.]
