It was something that would likely get Manolo in more trouble down the line, with Maria in toe to try and keep her husband intact.

"Thank you- for telling me. I needed to know this." She brushes her fingers lightly across his cheek, through the soft hair of his sideburns. "I love you too. Much too much." Maria does smile a little at that, partially teasing him. But genuinely happy with Manolo. It feels like he understands her, like he wouldn't oppose to any of her ideas, any wild adventures she might want to go on.
