"Slighted me?" She spits it out, almost taken aback. Enough that she lets him rant and rave, staring almost wide-eyed at him. Honestly, she's torn between being shocked and wanting to smack him. But she lets him finish, like he did for her, before she talks again.

"People like her?" Hawke tilts her head at him, anger still simmering under the surface. "Define that for me. Because somehow I think we have different definitions." As much as she wants to hope he knows the difference between mages like Hadriana and mages like Hawke, right now she's not so sure. "Fenris, I have been more than understanding of your anger and your rage. She did awful things to you. Danarius did even worse. I get that. And even when you would make those comments about mages - how awful we are, how terrible magic is, how this and that and on and on and on - I've done my best not to take it personally and remember where you're coming from." She crosses her arms, feeling so vulnerable. "But I'm starting to wonder if maybe I should be taking it personally."
